1. Secure your phone

Anti-Theft made easy by your stock android feature: What if your phone is lost?  You need not make use of third party Anti-Theft applications which take much of your time to configure the settings and involves tedious process to setup. Instead you can locate your device using Android device manager. Before going into details of Android device manager, do you know about Android device manager? 2. Encrypt your confidential data

This awesome option will let you encrypt your accounts, settings, downloaded apps and their data, media and other files. Once you encrypt your Moto G files and folders, you need to type a numeric PIN or password to decrypt it each time you power it on. Remember that you cannot decrypt your phone except by performing a factory data reset which erases all your data.This process of encryption takes an hour or even more .So you must keep your Moto G plugged in until encryption is complete or else there is a chance of losing some or all of your valuable data.

3. See your notifications even after clearing them

Do you clear all the notifications without seeing?  Do you want  to see them again whenever you are free in the day? There is a simple way to do this.  Go to widgets, grab “settings shortcut” on to your home screen and select notifications there. Now you can see the Notifications shortcut on your home screen.  Open it to see all your notifications there.  Path is Widgets > Settings shortcut > Notifications.

4. Developer options

In your Moto G you can access the developer options by tapping on build number for 7 times.  Now you will be able to see developer options in settings.  The path for build number is Settings > About phone > Build number (Tap fastly for seven times).

You could access many features in the developer options which include limiting the background processes, destroy every activity as soon as the user leaves it, monitoring related features,  layout related and debugging etc..,

5. Take a screenshot

Do you want to take a screenshot of your display? You can do it by holding the power button and volume down key together on your Moto G. You can see that the resultant screenshot will be deposited in  gallery.

6. Control your phone’s ringer

Your Moto G comes with a pre-installed Assist application which is a very useful one. It can silence your mobile at sleeping times and meetings. 7. Transfer data from your old phone with Motorola Migrate

Google’s Android service allows you to store all your data in the cloud, including contacts, emails and application information. But there are still some elements which don’t get transferred properly, but Motorola Migrate app helps you in this issue. All you need to do is to install this app on your old phone and the whole process is a painless one.

8. Add widgets to your screen lock

Even though widgets are one of the Android’s most unique features, in the older versions of android they’re limited to your home-screen. In your Moto G, you can access these widgets even when your phone is locked. You can access them by simply sliding from left to right on the lock screen.To add a widget, tap on the plus icon. These include messaging inbox, Gmail, and calender.

9. If you want decent photos then Use HDR mode: The Motorola Moto G’s camera is just okay and is not that good.If you want to have some decent photos, you can use the HDR mode where HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. The only disadvantage of the HDR mode on your phone is that it’s pretty slow and while shooting at night time you have to turn off this mode for flash. You can switch to HDR mode by swiping left to right on the edge of the screen in the camera application.

10. Get instant help from Moto Care: Your Moto G comes with Moto Care which helps you instantly, if you face any sort of problems. It has got  interactive tutorials and tips. By tapping the question mark at the top left, you can search for whatever you want, guides and check for available tutorials. You can also get help from customer care by tapping the chat or call options and you can start an instant online chat or phone conversation to get the help you need.
